Claire Cunningham
Dubbed as having a vocal register similar to Adele (GAFFA) and for having a ‘Powerful and killer voice’ from Lzzy Hale (Halestorm) and Phil Campbell (Motörhead) it’s no wonder Clare Cunningham is making waves across the world with her music. Steve Cropper (Blues Brothers) who features on Clare's latest single 'Heart of Mine' has said
"Clare has such a tremendous voice. She makes me want to play because she sings with passion and feeling." Cunningham, who was raised in Collon, Co. Louth, the smallest village in Ireland, had a flare for music and singing from a very young age. Her versatility in genre of music consists traditional Irish music, rock, pop and country allows her to be a great fit at any sort of event.
Clare now resides in the USA (Nashville predominantly) where she is taking it by storm having already played at 'The Nantucket Project' (2018) and at world renowned 'Sundance film Festival' (2019). A uniquely Nashville tradition. Here the stories behind #1 Songwriters careers, the songs they wrote and how they got picked up. You might just hear the next big hit before it's out too!
Hailey Steele was raised in a one-stoplight town in South Dakota. She started performing at an early age, sharing stages with country legends like Neil Young and Loretta Lynn all before the age of 15. As a child, she listened to everything from Patsy Cline and Patty Loveless to Def Leppard and The Eagles. Her melodies are strongly influenced by female country and pop music from the 90's, and her lyrics tackle daily topics that every twenty-something girl deals with - love, heartbreak, happiness, reality, and wine. Steele moved to Nashville at 19 to pursue a serious music career and has never looked back. As an alum of NBC's The Voice, performed on the last season of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno with her duo The LiNE, and also befriended other songwriters on the show. As a result, Steele co-wrote Raelynn's song "Boyfriend," (Raelynn/Nicolle Galyon/ Steele) and "Small Town Soul" released by Gwen Sebastian.
Hailey has been involved in the #LetTheGirlsPlay movement by Nashville's Song Suffragettes, and co-wrote the single "Fight Like a Girl" for Kalie Shorr, the program's pioneer artist. Steele's first solo single, "Where I Thought I'd Be" was featured on CMT as part of the Artist Discovery Program. Steele has opened several shows for Kelsea Ballerini and is the youngest member of the South Dakota Country Music Hall of Fame. She has recently graced both The Ryman and The Grand Ole Opry stages playing songs she has co-written with her friend, singer/songwriter Shelly Fairchild. Her most recent release is called Raggedy Ann and was featured on CMT as the Next Up Now Video for July 2021. Hailey just opened for the legendary Willie Nelson and has recently released a new single, “Sad Champagne.”
Guided by the honky-tonk influence of Roger Miller, genre-blending enterprises of The Grateful Dead and the iconic songwriting of Guy Clark, Ben Chapman pairs groove-driven music with compelling, pitchy lyrics, offering his own effervescent take on Saturday night honky-tonk music. From north Georgia, Ben’s old soul and audiophilic tendencies have conducted his journey to Nashville, directing him from self-taught guitar lessons, through various gigs at the VFW and other cool little bars, to recently signing a publishing deal with hit-songwriter Hillary Lindsey’s (Dierks Bentley, Little Big Town, Miranda Lambert) Hang Your Hat Music, a creative joint venture with Concord Music. It was here he met his publisher turned producer Jake Gear (Hailey Whitters, Flatland Calvary) whose initial belief in him as a writer proved to be well-founded with Chapman having established co-writer credit on all 13 tracks off his forthcoming debut album as well as landing cuts with other artists including Drake White, Davisson Brothers, Robert Randolph, Erin Enderlin, and more.
Working as an in-demand Music Row songwriter, Adam has co-penned hits like Parmalee’s “Close Your Eyes” and scored cuts by Jason Aldean (“Church Pew or Bar Stool”), Dustin Lynch (“World to Me”), Love & Theft (“Whiskey on My Breath”) and more, but his own style is something different – it’s the next step in country’s continuing evolution, and the antidote for the bro-country hangover. Now signed to BBR Music Group’s Stoney Creek Records, Adam has made the leap from songwriter to artist with a style that’s rooted in the ‘90s yet sounds just ahead of the curve. It combines the down-home themes of artists like McGraw and Tritt, the soul-bearing honesty and pure-intentioned romance of Keith Urban with otherworldly vocals that land somewhere between Vince Gill and Keith Urban
Hunger can go a long way, especially when it comes to the life of a musician. Take J Edwards for instance. In an industry that all too often gives into formulas and politics, J Edwards says he just wants to “write damn good music that’s heartfelt. . . that’s all it should be about.” That is why he is one of Nashville’s most underrated and best kept secrets. Edwards’ raspy voice and raw, soulful original lyrics pull locals and visitors alike into Bootleggers, all in search of the unique and enduring spirit that made Nashville the “It City” long before the bachelorettes did.
Top 8 on American Idol. This guy is a true artist. He won’t do a background music gig but is open to dining with your group as part of the group and then doing an hour showcase performing for the group, talking about his experiences in music, on Idol and his career. Incredibly intimate experience that is hard to duplicate anywhere outside of Nashville.
